Sunny Chang, volunteer coordinator :::
Sunny has been a regular volunteer for ADAC events, working with Chaos. And while design is her day-job and passion, she is also very involved in Sacramento’s swing-dance community. She can be seen kicking up her heels and doing some Lindy Hop at the venues sponsored by the Midtown Stomp, and often helps the organization with their design and public relations materials.
Growing up, Sunny’s parents tried to persuade her to go into the sciences. Then again, Sunny’s interest in art and design stuck with her. Her persistence permitted her a Bachelor’s degree from UC Davis in Design with an emphasis in Visual Communication and Presentation.
Instead of going back to the Bay Area, Sunny stayed in the Sacramento area after graduating to pursue her graphic design career. Her ambition to learn different aspects of design has given her experience in magazine layout, print and Web design, map and directory publications, and non-profit work.
Her experience has included California Breast Cancer Research Program, Trader Publishing, Marketing by Design, and now currently continuing her journey with ZAP Creative.
