Jenn de la Fuente, webmaster :::
Jenn joined ADAC because she enjoyed meeting fellow designers and loved being a part of a thriving design community in Sacramento. She hopes to do her part to keep that community growing and thriving.
While art and design are two of Jenn’s big passions, she originally went to school to become a journalist. She graduated from the University of Southern California with a degree in print journalism and embarked on a decade-long career that took her from Los Angeles to Delaware to Arizona then back to Delaware and then to Sacramento. She worked as a sports reporter first, but always kept a hand in design by doing side projects, and eventually moved into newspaper copy editing and page design and web design/editing somewhere along the way.
She also has a passion for teaching, and has done various workshops in the Sacramento area, including a high school workshop on newspaper design at Oak Ridge High School, and social media workshops for journalists. She also an adjunct faculty member who works as a coordinator at the graphic design lab at Sacramento City College.
Jenn has experience in print and Web design, building blogs and online stores, book/magazine/newspaper layout and designing logos. She has done work for The Sacramento Bee, the Sacramento Asian Pacific Chamber of Commerce, Goldey-Beacom College in Delaware, the University of Delaware, Sacramento City College, and many fellow crafty businesses. (Yes, Jenn is crafty too — you can find her handmade accessories and jewelry at http://www.agirlnamedrosebud.com.)
