FEEEL- an exhibition of new media at the Koneko Gallery at American River College. Presented by the Art / New Media Department at ARC and ADAC, this show features new work by many local artists. Ask all of the questions you may have as an artist, designer, writer, or photographer regarding fundamentals of copyright law.

We are kicking off a membership drive for ADAC to continue to thrive! Re-join us if you are a visual artist or in the creative industry! Artists, Photographers, Designers, Motion Graphics Artists, Art Directors and more are already the core group of our members. If you are a student in art or design - Sacramento’s future professional creatives - we welcome you, too!
ADAC prices are going down in a time when all other prices are going up. Gas costs more, food costs more, rent costs more. BUT NOT ADAC. For a limited time only we are dropping our annual membership fee from $69/year to $39/year for professionals. Students only pay $19/year.

Sac State Event ::: Kit Hinrichs of Pentagram

Kit Hinrichs of Pentagram has a show opening in the Sacramento State Library Gallery this Friday, Sept 5th, entitled “A Storyteller’s Art.” There will be an open house this Friday at the gallery from 5pm–8pm where he will be on hand to meet & greet visitors as well as sign posters.
Later on October 7th he will be delivering a lecture at the Hinde Auditorium at the University Union. For more information on the lecture and show, contact Mario Estioko at 278-5325 or mestioko@csus.edu. We have up-to-date info on the event here.

The Sacramento Fine Arts Center Presents The Docent Show

The Sacramento Fine Arts Center Presents The Docent Show, colorful paintings by the men and women who paint, understand art and host visitors to the Sacramento Fine Arts Center August 17th to August 30th, 2008. There will be a special awards reception on Saturday August 30th from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. The event is free and the public and collectors are invited to view the paintings throughout the exhibit. The original artwork on display is for sale and can be purchased at the close of the show.

Sacramento Fine Arts Center Art Sale and Exhibit

Watercolor Artists of Sacramento Horizons, (W.A.S.H) presents their annual juried open exhibition “Go With the Flow “08’ “on September 2nd to27th, 2008, with a special Second Saturday, September 13th, reception featuring refreshments and music.
The public and collectors are invited to view the paintings throughout the exhibit. The original artwork on display is for sale and can be purchased at the close of the show. Gallery hours are 11AM-3PM Wednesday through Saturday, Tuesday 11-7PM.

The Second Saturday reception to meet the artists is held on Sept. 13, 5:30-8:30PM. There will be an awards presentation for the best watercolorists selected to win cash and merchandise awards during the evening.
